Terms of Use
Effective September 24, 2026 · Version 2026-09-24.2 · Beta
1. Who we are and agreeing to these Terms
bluechipstats ("bluechipstats," "we," "us") is operated from Birmingham, Michigan. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and us governing your use of bluechipstats.com, its apps, the Lucky AI assistant, and related features (the "Service"). By creating an account, checking the box at sign-up, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, able to form a binding contract, a resident of the United States, and not barred from using the Service under applicable law. You represent that you are a member of any fantasy league whose data you view through the Service, or otherwise have permission to view it.
3. The beta Service
The Service is an early beta. It is free, may be incomplete, and may change, be interrupted, lose data, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice. We may add, change or remove features, limits (such as daily question limits), and eligibility at our discretion. We may introduce paid features in the future; you won't be charged without agreeing first.
4. Entertainment only; not gambling or professional advice
- All content on the Service, including statistics, scores, projections, rankings, win probabilities, trade verdicts, insights and Lucky's answers ("Content"), is provided for entertainment and general informational purposes only.
- The Service is not a gambling, sports betting or paid fantasy contest service, and Content is not betting, wagering, financial, investment, legal, medical or other professional advice. Do not use the Service to place wagers or to make decisions involving money or anything of value.
- We don't guarantee any fantasy, game or financial outcome. Any reliance you place on Content is strictly at your own risk.
- If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
5. Lucky (artificial intelligence)
Lucky is an AI assistant that generates responses using a third-party large language model. AI output is produced automatically, may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, offensive or fabricated, and may be stated with confidence even when wrong. Lucky has no access to information beyond the data the Service provides and does not represent the views of bluechipstats. Evaluate AI output independently before relying on it. Lucky's persona and humor are fictional and for entertainment. Do not submit sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account or government ID information) to Lucky.
6. Data sources and third parties
League, player and game data is obtained from ESPN and other publicly available sources and may be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable. bluechipstats is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ESPN, the National Football League, any NFL team, or any other league or broadcaster. All team names, logos, player names and likenesses, and other marks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. The Service may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, streaming or broadcaster apps); we aren't responsible for them, and your use of them is governed by their terms.
7. Your account
Provide accurate information and keep it current. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account; tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use. You may not share, sell or transfer your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for us or others.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) access or attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or areas of the Service you're not authorized to use; (b) scrape, crawl, copy, resell or commercially exploit the Service or Content, except as the Service's ordinary features allow; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security, rate limits or usage caps; (d) overload, disrupt or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure; (e) use the Service or Lucky to create or share unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringing content, or content about other people that invades their privacy; (f) attempt to manipulate, "jailbreak," or extract the underlying instructions of Lucky; (g) use the Service to build a competing product or to train AI models; or (h) violate any law or third-party right.
9. Your content and feedback
You keep ownership of the questions and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, process, reproduce and use Your Content to operate, maintain, secure and improve the Service (including to generate responses and review quality and cost), as described in the Privacy Policy. You're responsible for Your Content and represent you have the right to submit it. If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation.
10. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, the Lucky character and the bluechipstats name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
11. Advertising, communications and cookies
The Service may display advertising, sponsored content and offers, including ads tailored to your interests, and uses cookies and similar technologies as described in the Privacy Policy. Sponsors do not influence Lucky's recommendations, and sponsored content will be labeled. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, including account and service notices (which you can't opt out of while you have an account) and, until you unsubscribe, product updates, news and promotional offers. Electronic communications satisfy any requirement that notices be in writing.
12. Copyright complaints
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work and of the material you claim infringes it, with its location; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, with your physical or electronic signature. We may remove material and terminate repeat infringers.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT (INCLUDING AI OUTPUT, SCORES AND PROJECTIONS) IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR TIMELY. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLUECHIPSTATS AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, WAGERS, WINNINGS, PRIZES OR FANTASY RESULTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THEIR POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) US $50. These limits are an essential part of the bargain and apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They don't limit liability that can't be limited by law.
15. Indemnity and release
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless bluechipstats and its owners, operators and service providers from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. Disputes among members of your fantasy league, and any betting or other activity you choose to undertake, are solely between you and the other parties; you release us from claims arising from them.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections 4–6, 9–10 and 12–20 survive termination.
17. Dispute resolution: arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully; it affects your legal rights.
- Informal resolution first. Before filing a claim, you and we agree to try to resolve any dispute informally by sending written notice (to us at [email protected]) describing the dispute and the relief sought, and negotiating in good faith for 30 days.
- Binding individual arbitration. Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that isn't resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration may be conducted by video or in Oakland County, Michigan, or another location we agree on. Fees are allocated as provided by the AAA's consumer rules.
- Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
- No class actions. YOU AND WE AGREE THAT CLAIMS MAY BE BROUGHT ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of class or representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a claim, that claim will proceed in court, not arbitration.
- 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing [email protected] with your name, account email and a clear statement that you opt out, within 30 days after you first accept these Terms.
- Time limit. To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.
18. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, applicable U.S. federal law, and the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For any matter not subject to arbitration, you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, for material changes, give reasonable notice (for example, by email or in the Service). Changes apply going forward; continuing to use the Service after they take effect means you accept them. Changes to section 17 won't apply to disputes you've already notified us about.
20. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent possible and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We aren't liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Section headings are for convenience only.

Privacy Policy
Effective September 24, 2026 · Version 2026-09-24.2 · Beta
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how bluechipstats ("we," "us"), operated from Birmingham, Michigan, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use bluechipstats.com and related services (the "Service"). The Service is intended for adults in the United States. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms of Use.
2. Information we collect
- Information you provide: your email address, first and last name, and password (stored only as a one-way, salted hash; we never store your password itself); your agreement to our Terms, with the date and version; and the questions and messages you send to Lucky.
- Information generated when you use the Service: Lucky's responses; the page, team and week you were viewing; usage and diagnostic data such as sign-in times, features used, response times, errors and estimated AI cost; and session identifiers.
- Device and network data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, and referring pages, collected by us and our hosting and security providers.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5.
- Information from third-party sources: fantasy league data made available by ESPN and other public sources, such as league settings, rosters, scores, team names and the names of league members. We use your name to match you to your team in your league.
We don't intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, health or precise geolocation data). Please don't submit it to Lucky.
3. How we use information
- To provide and personalize the Service: create and secure your account, show your league and team, and generate Lucky's answers and insights.
- To maintain, analyze and improve the Service and Lucky, including reviewing questions and answers for quality, accuracy and cost, and developing new features.
- To communicate with you: account and service notices (such as welcome and password-reset emails), and product updates, news and promotional offers, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To display and measure advertising and sponsored content, including interest-based advertising (see section 5).
- To protect the Service and our users: prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, enforce usage limits and our Terms, and comply with law and legal process.
4. AI processing
When you ask Lucky a question, your question, the recent conversation and the league context needed to answer it are sent to our AI model provider, Anthropic, PBC, which processes it to generate a response under commercial terms that don't permit it to use that content to train its models. We store questions and answers as described in section 8. AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate (see the Terms).
5. Cookies, tracking and advertising
We and our partners use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary: keep you signed in (a secure, HTTP-only session cookie), protect your account and the Service, and remember preferences such as light or dark mode. The Service doesn't work without these.
- Analytics: understand how the Service is used and performing, so we can improve it.
- Advertising: show ads and sponsored content, including ads based on your activity on the Service and on other sites and apps over time ("interest-based" or "targeted" advertising), measure ad performance, and limit repetition. Advertising and analytics partners may set their own cookies and collect identifiers, device and browser information, pages viewed and approximate location, under their own privacy policies.
What we set today (beta):
- bcs_session (cookie, strictly necessary): keeps you signed in; secure, HTTP-only; expires after 30 days.
- CF_Authorization and other Cloudflare cookies (strictly necessary): access control and security for the beta, set by Cloudflare.
- bcs_demo (cookie, functional, only if you turn on demo mode): shows simulated live games; expires after 6 hours.
- Browser local storage (functional): your theme, selected team, and layout choices such as whether the bench is open.
We don't currently use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If we add them, we'll update this list and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser (blocking necessary cookies will sign you out); opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com; use your device's advertising controls; and send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising for that browser. Like most sites, we don't respond to "Do Not Track" signals other than GPC. Where required by law, we'll obtain consent before using non-essential cookies.
6. How we disclose information
- Service providers that process information on our behalf under contract: Anthropic (AI), Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, security and access control) and Google (email delivery), and other providers of hosting, analytics, and customer support.
- Advertising and analytics partners, for the purposes in section 5. Under some state laws this may be considered a "sale" of personal information or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described in sections 5 and 9.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, regulation, legal process or government requests; to enforce our Terms; and to protect the rights, property and safety of us, our users or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We don't sell your name, email address, or your questions to Lucky. Other members of your league can't see your questions to Lucky or your account details; league data (such as rosters and team names) is visible to members of that league.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including hashed passwords, encryption in transit, and restricted access (the AI's database access, for example, can't read account data or other users' questions). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you as required by law.
8. Retention
We keep account information while your account is active. We keep Lucky questions, answers and usage records for up to 24 months to operate, secure and improve the Service, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements; residual copies in backups are overwritten in the ordinary course. De-identified or aggregated data (for example, total weekly AI cost) may be kept indefinitely.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and others), you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold about you, including in a portable format; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising; and appeal our decision on your request. You may also unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link in the email.
How to exercise your rights: email [email protected] from the email address on your account, stating your request. We'll verify your request by confirming it came from your account email, and may ask for more information if needed. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide your signed permission. We'll respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days). If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California notice: in the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 2 (identifiers, account information, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences about your interests), for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them as described in section 6. We don't use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit, and we don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Location of processing
We and our providers process information in the United States. The Service is intended for U.S. residents.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated policy with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect.
